Chubu Energy Trading was established in December 2007 as a partnership between Chubu Electric Power and EDF Trading, with a mandate to apply world‑class standards in fossil fuel procurement, risk management, and commercial optimisation. The entity subsequently ceased its operational activities in 2016 following a strategic reorganisation of the shareholders’ trading functions
